St. George Utah Temple 1877

Historic Video Series – St. George Utah Temple (1877-1882)

I am very happy about today’s video. For the last couple of years I have been working on and off on a new set of temple models. These models represent changes made to temples over time. For example, at the St. George Utah Temple, I am currently working on a total of 9 models that show how the annex, tower, and exterior color of the temple have changed over time.

In the past, as Temples have been renovated and given new exteriors, I have added a special thumbnail to the old version of the temple. Today’s video gets the same thumbnail, but is the first video created officially for this new series.

I hope you enjoy it, this model was a pleasure to work on!

I have many more of these planned, with multiple videos for many of the early temples. While I will continue to make videos of new temples, a large portion of my focus will be moving into these new models.

Below I have included other videos created for the St. George Temple’s Historic timeline.

Tooele Valley Utah Thumb

First Draft Video for the Tooele Valley Utah Temple

This might be the fastest I have put out a video. The render for this temple was released on Tuesday, three days ago. The timing for me was rather good. Something frustrating had just come up, and I needed a distraction,s o I dove in head first. The kids were on spring break, so I was not needed to help manage the time of toddlers and school work.

I finished it in just under 2 days, and took some time to compose the video this morning. I hope you enjoy it!

Auckland New Zealand Temple Thumb

First video for Auckland New Zealand Temple

I finished a first attempt at modeling Auckland New Zealand. Now I only have one more temple to go before I cam caught back up to the Church (at least in regard to officially released renders!) I fully expect my attempt to keep up with all the temples to become significantly harder this coming conference weekend, but for now I try my best.

I will have some historical models, as well as some remakes I finished some time ago coming soon, I hope.

Phnom Pehn Cambodia

Phnom Pehn Cambodia Temple video

You may have already seen the official render for the Phnom Pehn Cambodia Temple, released a couple of months ago. You may not have noticed a couple of unusual details on the already unusual temple design.

The first thing I noticed is that the render does not show the front door. This makes it difficult to gauge the height and size of the temple just by looking at the render.

I left the doors of my render as well, because I don’t know what they look like, but my estimates for this temple put it at the same size as Praia Cabo Verde Temple, so one of the new small temples.

I hope you enjoy my render!
