Done with Preston England Temple!
In about a week I should have a full render and video waiting to go. We’ll see how well my computer does with this model, as it is heavy on trees. The trees are what we refer to as “billboard” trees, meaning they are flat planes with an image and a transparent area around the image. If I were using actual model trees, I would probably set my computer on fire.
Fences, Brick Texture walls and Windows. Welcome back to the Madrid temple model. I jumped around a bit, but today was nice in that some of the issues I had with this model before are resolved. I finally noticed a couple of spots on the real temple that explained some height changes . The entryaway and the rest of the grounds are next up on this temple.

Sorry this is late. I am so excited about tomorrow’s t temple that I was busy getting set up for it. (I might even finish it!) Well, you may not notice much difference on Preston England, but now I have a realistic texture, a proportional height, and a good start on the grounds with an updated texture. Here is last months render:

The grounds at Madrid are so interesting. Perhaps to interesting for someone like me who tends to get distracted easily. Sure, I got some of the temple done today, but I spent much more time on the grounds. I am looking forward to the video of this one which will show of the grounds in ways that regular photography just doesn’t. In the meantime, here is last months render, with the original Google Earth model textures in place:

Some serious progress here today, despite my limited amount of time. In fact, I am placing trees, which means that I am basically done. I am going to try to finish the trees off this week, basically sneak a few minutes in here and there, and send this one off to be rendered!

This one is ready for render. Meanwhile Toronto, which has been rendering for 5 days now has finally reached frame 730/1500. So possibly next week I will post Toronto and all it’s issues, and then Maybe the week after that I will post this beautiful gem of a temple built out of an old Chapel.
