I’m slowly working my way towards getting caught up with the Church again. I don’t know if I ever will, but, regardless, here is my first draft of the Smithfield UtahTemple. I hope you enjoy it. It’s a fascinating design.

Querétaro Mexico Temple model
Following in the same size and shape as the Mirraflores Guatemala and Salvador Brazil Temples, today I bring you my video for the Querétaro Mexico Temple. As with any of the models I make for temples still in progress, this is still very much guess work. I still like to think I did a decent job!
Grand Junction Colorado Temple model and video
I’ve been playing around with textures, trying to get more realistic. This one looked great, but I did not check all angles, which is why it wasn’t until the render was done that I found the sidewalks look post rainstorm from certain angles.
One more thing to look forward to when it’s time to redo this one, I guess.
Farmington New Mexico Temple model and Video
I have felt rather productive this week. I finished off Farmington, and have made excellent progress on a couple of others. This one was nice, I was able to work from some documents that have moved into the public domain to make the surrounding area look more authentic.
I made an effort to dig into the detailing on the exterior. The renders are often fuzzy, but I worked hard to get the carvings looking as correct as possible.

Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple (2019) video
Well, I don’t have any of the new temple models I am working on for you this week, but It’s about time I got around to doing this one. This is a video I should have finished 3+ years ago showing the newly renovated Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple.
Update for Yorba Linda California Temple video
A month or so back, the Church released an updated render for the Yorba Linda Temple. The change was necessitated by a request from the city to lower the height of the steeple. This the Church complied with, and the design for the temple went from a post-modern design with Art-deco and Spanish influences to a modern design with Spanish influences with just a few simple changes.
I’m not entirely sold on the new design, I am not certain the massing of the spire is appropriate for the overall building, but I am sure the architect did what he could with the restrictions they were working under. And there is the distinct possibility that I am entirely missing aspects of the design that make it work better.
Ephriam Utah Temple model and Video
I finished up a very rough first draft of my Ephriam Utah Temple. I guessed at adding in some of the surrounding terrain, but though it best to not try to go too far with the model. It leaves less for me to redo once the actual temple starts to take shape.
