Description

Porto, with a population of approximately 1.3 million, is the second-largest city in Portugal, a nation home to nearly 48,000 Latter-day Saints in more than 60 congregations.

History

Announcement

On 6 April 2025, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Porto Portugal Temple at the 195th Annual General Conference.

The temple will be the second in the country, joining the Lisbon Portugal Temple.
