Changes to the temple in this video include the partitioning of the lower assembly hall into permanent instruction rooms, and a wholly new and aesthetically pleasing new annex. Sometime in the next 20 years, color photos of the temple indicate that the water table and annex were painted in a light blue gray color, which has been depicted as best as possible in this video.

On 20 November 1927, fuel materials for the furnace on the North end of the annex caught fire. The fire spread through the whole annex before it was contained and extinguished. Reconstruction of the annex, the exterior walls of which were all that remained, began immediately. The new annex contained a slightly different configuration, and a new exterior look.
Also, the parapets at the top of the main portion of the tower were removed around this time and replaced with the ornamental fence-like structure we see on the temple today.
Around the 1910s, the upper parapets of the St. George Utah Temple were painted to look similar to the original sandstone the temple was constructed from. The painted parapets persisted beyond the reconstruction of the annex.

Right around the turn of the century, the water tower was removed. The water tower had supplied water to the font, and was determined to no longer be necessary. The water tower was removed and the annex, already in place around the temple, was remodeled and expanded into the space where the tower had been.

Video
Video and model of the St. George Utah Temple as it would have looked in 1883 after completion of the taller spire.
Please note, the taller spire was not, as popular tradition holds, added because of a lightning strike in 1878. Read here for more information on the actual events surrounding the two separate events of the lightning strike and the Spire replacement.
Additionally, the St. George Temple received its first annex around 1882-1883. The annex was built around the water tower that had been with the temple since it was dedicated.

Inaccurate–St George Utah Temple 1928-1937.
This video is NOT historically accurate.
This video is more of a guess than previous videos, and was based upon a lack of information. This was an attempt at modeling the temple as it would have looked after the annex fire, however, I did not know at the time that the annex was rebuilt immediately.

Inaccurate–St. George Utah Temple (1882-1883)
This video is an attempt to recreate the St. George Utah Temple as it would have looked in 1883 after completion of the taller spire. It was based on a faulty understanding that the spire would have been the only change made to the temple at that time, however, subsequent information indicates the annex was also added.
Please note, the taller spire was not, as popular tradition holds, added because of a lightning strike in 1878. Read here for more information on the actual events surrounding the two separate events of the lightning strike and the Spire replacement:

Your new rendering for what it will look like in 2022 turned out very nice. You have an incredible talent!
hi , I want to cooperate with you , i can model building for you with maya, 3dsmax, sketchup
please connect to mail: [deleted]
Thanks for your interest. it is a personal goal of mine to model all the temples myself, at least once. But don’t let that stop you from doing your own!
any chance I can download the models to 3D print them? STL file format is best, Thanks
Thank you for your interest in my work. As it States on both of my contact pages I do not give out or sell my digital files. I am in the process of making my models available as 3D prints through the Photogent Store.
