Description

The southeastern city of Busan is Korea’s busiest port. Nearly 90,000 Latter-day Saints in 100 congregations live in the country.[1]”The Church of Jesus Christ Will Build 18 New Houses of the Lord,” The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints News Release, 2 Oct. 2022, https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/october-2022-general-conference-new-temples.

History

Latter-day Saint service members brought the Church’s teachings to Korea in the 1940s. In 1973 the Seoul Korea Stake, the first stake in mainland Asia, was organized.
