Announced
On October 1, 2023, President Russell M. The Temple was announced in conjunction with 19 other temples.

On March 4, 2024, the location for the Osaka Japan Temple was announced as a 16.74-acre site located at 3-50-1 Sugi, Hirakata City in the Osaka prefecture of Japan. Dedication Order
The three dedicated temples were the Fukuoka Japan Temple, Sapporo Japan Temple, and Tokyo Japan Temple. The Okinawa Japan Temple was slated for dedication by Elder Gary E.
