Announced
On 1 October 2023, President Russell M. The Temple was announced in conjunction with 19 other temples.

The temple will be the first house of the Lord in that region and the eighth in Peru. Other temples in the country included the Arequipa Peru Temple, Chiclayo Peru Temple, Cusco Peru Temple, Iquitos Peru Temple, Lima Peru Temple, Lima Peru Los Olivos Temple, and Trujillo Peru Temple.
