History
The city was hit by a deadly typhoon in 2013, but Latter-day Saints and their friends came together to rebuild homes and revitalize the area.
Announcement
On 3 October 2021, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Tacloban Philippines Temple. Groundbreaking Announcement
On 25 November 2024 the Church announced the groundbreaking date for the Tacloban City Philippines Temple. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Elder Michael B.
