Concepcion Chile Temple Progress

Concepción Chile temple moves forward again. I was fortunate enough to locate a landscaping layout for this temple. Now I have that underway. On top of that, I have a bunch of proportion fixes, some height adjustments, some windows and the front doors done. Various small details are in place now as well.

I am looking forward to the  landscaping here, the grounds are roomy, despite their comparatively small size, and there are some nice features I am hoping to figure out.

Cordoba Argentina Temple progress

Cordoba Argentina Temple has now moved on to the render! I must say, I am rather surprised by this. In previous temple-a-day challenges, I have started strong then have begun to burn out as time went on. Consequently, I would get less and less done each day. So I am going to guess that the number of temples that get finished will drop off quickly from this point forward!

Textures and trees, and some modifications to the proportions. Counting bricks helped quite a bit here today. Lots of changes to the support buildings and terrain as well. Hope you enjoy this one!

Campinas Brazil Temple Video

My video for the Campinas Brazil Temple is finished!

Once again, it wasn’t until I finished I noticed some of the issues, and a future version will correct those, but for now, another one finished.

Progress So Far

Finishing one got me wondering where I was at. Keeping in Mind, that the “Announced” temples cannot be modeled until the Church reveals the design, here is where I am at

Basically, I have 124 Temples done, with 9 I am redoing or want to redo, and 49 in progress (44 not counting Kirtland, Endowment House, Original Nauvoo, Independence, Far West and Adam-ondi-ahman.) I have 60 apparently left to do, but only 46 to catch up to the number the church has completed!

Trujillo Peru Temple

Wednesday at Trujillo Peru

I worked the Trujillo Peru Temple model over well. I found some photos of the temple from a slightly elevated view and used them to help me fine tune the spire, which has always looked to small. Because it was, WAY to small. Then I cut in most of the remaining windows, and the archways. All I need to do here is add the textures, the main doorway, and the windows inside the entryway area.

Saturday at Sao Paulo Brazil

Sao Paulo Brazil Temple, like many of the Central and South America temples, suffers from a lack of good reference material. For most of these temples I would say it’s a poverty issue, in that members probably don’t own digital cameras, or internet, so when there are photos they are low rez or poorly focused. With this temple, there are plenty of photos, but the grounds are so narrow and restricting that there are not many places to take photos from. Consequently, there are very few reference photos of the rear exterior, or the south side of the temple, and I have not found any of the north side that were not taken from across the street. Still, I worked in the details I could so as best as I could today.

Sunday at Cordoba Argentina

Every time I go to work on this one I notice some detail that requires me to completely redo the whole thing. This is rather frustrating for me, as I thought I had this one down nice the first time. Trim is right now, and I have started to rough in window spaces. There are raised planting beds at the corners now, and I have the footer roughed in around the entryway.  I have begun on the entryway as well.

Monday at Guayaquil Ecuador

Happy leap-day, I guess. And Happy Birthday to those of you now turning 1/4 of your actual age. Today I worked on size. I actually counted out the stones on the side of the temple and fixed my model accordingly, at least for the base. The spire still needs to be done, but the height and width should now match better than they did before. I started in on the basic window shapes as well.
