Colombia is home to around 210,000 Latter-day Saints in nearly 250 congregations.
History
Missionary work began in Colombia in 1966. The first members of the Church lived in Cali and Bogotá. Cali is the second largest city in Colombia.[1]The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints News Release, “At April 2021 Conference, Prophet Announces 20 More Temples to Be Constructed,” 4 Apr. 2021. Colombia is home to around 210,000 Latter-day Saints in nearly 250 congregations. The Colombia Cali Mission was organized in 1975, and the first stake in the city was created in 1978.

Plans to construct the Cali Colombia Temple were announced by President Russell M. The Cali Colombia Temple will be the country’s third temple.
