Details
The Columbia South Carolina Temple has been in operation since October 1999. Greenville, found in the northwestern part of South Carolina, is home to nearly 75,000 residents. History
In 1999/2000, the Church acquired some property from the prior owners located outside the city limits of Greenville SC.
On 1 August 2024 the Church sought and was granted annexation of 16.59 acres comprised of 11.57 acres of property combined with a 5.02 acre right of way to be annexed into the Greenville city limits.[2]No official announcement has been made of the temple location. Announcement
On April 6, 2025, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the Greenville South Carolina Temple at the 195th Annual General Conference. It will be the second house of the Lord in the state. The temple was announced in conjunction with 14 other temples.
