Description
There are nearly 90,000 Latter-day Saints spread throughout 300 congregations in Ghana. With its beautiful variety of flowers and plants, Kumasi is known as the “Garden City” and is in the southern rain forest region of Ghana.

Plans to construct the Kumasi GhanaTemple were announced by President Russell M. Nelson on 4 April 2021, at the 191st Annual General Conference.[2]The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints News Release, “At April 2021 Conference, Prophet Announces 20 More Temples to Be Constructed,” 4 Apr. 2021.
The Kumasi Ghana Temple will be the second temple in the country; the first is the Accra Ghana Temple, dedicated in 2004.

On May 1, 2023, the site for the Kumasi Ghana Temple was announced as a 2.08-acre parcel located at Y11 Suntreso Rd in the Bantama neighborhood of Kumasi.
