I have to admit, I have been completely burned out on 3D. Since my paid work I was doing so much paid work, I didn’t want to do this anymore. Over time, I have fallen WAY behind. Especially with President Nelson’s increased pace of temple announcements.

I sat down recently to see how far behind I had fallen. As a result, I found myself both updating and creating the missing models.

Of course, none of this includes my historical models, and updates to my website, both of which are also on-going.

Okay, this render is not McKinney Texas, it is instead my attempt at Burley Idaho.

I have decided to hold off on the creation of this model, as the City has denied the Church’s request for a variance on height, both for the spire, and the building itself. As a consequence, the Church will likely have to redesign the whole temple. I did not feel like making the existing design if it will not ultimately be used. The denied design was almost an exact replica of the Burley Idaho Temple, so I am using it as a stand in for now.

In this case, I was making great progress on the model, getting close to finished, and then the church announced a relocation for the project.
