Announced
On 1 October 2023, President Russell M. On February 26, 2024, the location of the Vancouver Washington Temple was announced as a 15.11-acre site located northwest of the intersection of SE 20th Street and SE Bybee Road in the Vancouver suburb of Camas. Dedicatory Order
It will be the sixth temple in Washington state and the second in the Portland metropolitan area. At the time of the announcement, dedicated temples in the state included the Columbia River Washington Temple, the Seattle Washington Temple, the Spokane Washington Temple, and the Moses Lake Washington Temple. The Tacoma Washington Temple had been announced in October 2022.
Firsts
This is the first temple to be in the same metropolitan area (Portland) as another temple, while still being in a different state (Washington vs. Oregon.)
