West Jordan Utah Temple Wiki

On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the West Jordan Utah Temple at the 194th Annual General Conference. The temple was announced in conjunction with 14 other temples.

At the time of the announcement, the Salt Lake Temple and Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple were under renovation, and the Manti Utah Temple was scheduled to be rededicated two weeks later. ^[1]”President Russell M. The location of the West Jordan Utah Temple was announced as a 16.1-acre site located west of Highway 111 at approximately 7148 South.

Site

A new meetinghouse is intended to be built on the site as well.

Plans call for a multi-story temple of approximately 85,000 square feet.
