Announcement
On April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson announced plans to construct the West Jordan Utah Temple at the 194th Annual General Conference. The temple was announced in conjunction with 14 other temples.
At the time of the announcement, the Salt Lake Temple and Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple were under renovation, and the Manti Utah Temple was scheduled to be rededicated two weeks later.
