Announcement
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints in Marysville, Washington, learned Sunday 19 April 2026 that a new temple will be built in their city.
The announcement from the First Presidency was shared by Elder Hugo E. Martinez of the United States West Area Presidency during a devotional in the Marysville Washington Stake.
This announcement was the second in a new pattern established by the First Presidency in late 2025 that announcements of new houses of the Lord will be made on location by a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles or a member of the Area Presidency.
