Groundbreaking Announced
On 27 May 2025 The First Presidency of The Church announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vancouver Washington Temple.
Groundbreaking services for this new house of the Lord will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Elder Mark A. Bragg, General Authority Seventy, will preside at the event.
Groundbreaking
Ground was broken for the Vancouver Washington Temple on Aug. 23, 2025, with Elder Mark A. Bragg — a General Authority Seventy who served as North America West Area president until Aug. 1, 2025 — presiding.
In his remarks to the congregation, Elder Bragg testified that “the house of the Lord is a monument of faith and hope in Jesus Christ. Without Him and without the exalting ordinances of the temple, we are left alone, without hope of a glorious life to come in the presence of a loving Heavenly Father.”[5]Randall, Joel. “Ground Broken for Vancouver Washington Temple.” Church News, 27 Aug. 2025, www.thechurchnews.com/temples/2025/08/25/ground-broken-for-vancouver-washington-temple.
